The YMP is a not for profit organisation which is run by volunteers who work within the printing, packaging and graphic communications industries, for the benefit of people who work within those industries. In an industry which is changing by the day, training is a fact of life and well rounded, highly motivated people are essential. YMP membership provides individuals with unique development opportunities, with a varied and ever changing programme of events held throughout the country.

After last years successful Xmas Bowl Party, we are doing it again. The Xmas Bowl-n-Bite includes 2 games of bowling, plus a meal and a... Santa Hat!!. All this for £14.50 per person.

We aim to start at 7pm.

To be held over the weekend of the 11th to 13th September 2009, the annual YMP National Training Weekend is an extremely rewarding outdoor orientated weekend course that is specifically designed to improve the participant's understanding of team roles by developing problem solving skills as well as building confidence, self esteem and motivation.

February 27th to March 1st 2009 at the Copthorne Hotel, Cardiff

The 2009 YMP National Conference is being held in Wales for the very first time when The Copthorne Hotel, Cardiff plays host venue to the 73rd annual conference. The 2-day event is widely accepted as the highlight of the year for all YMPs past and present and provides an excellent platform for personal development and training for all delegates.

South East YMPs visit the Guardian!Between 7.30 and 8.00 pm on a cold December 18th a number of YMPs made the trip to Stratford East London. The purpose was to visit the Guardian newspaper production facility. The building is only twelve months old and houses some of the most modern production facilities in the newspaper industry.

New Role for BPIF Training

New Role for BPIF TrainingThe BPIF are delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Sykes to the role of Sales and Marketing Executive for BPIF Training. This newly created position will focus on increasing the uptake of BPIF apprentices and trainees together with developing a strategy to support and grow the YMP (an independent training and networking organisation for the print industry) membership in the regions. It demonstrates the BPIF's commitment to training and development within the industry and draws on Helen's 9 years experience of working with the BPIF assisting companies in identifying their training needs and coming up with workable solutions.
