YMP group photo The YMP organisation is committed to actively promote and encourage personal development and training within the printing, packaging and graphic communications industries. We aim to foster better management in our industry through helping young and potential managers develop their leadership and management skills. The YMP Organisation's effectiveness is the result of the way in which it brings together industry people with different experiences and persuasions but with shared objectives. Learning therefore takes place in a positive atmosphere of critical, mutual commitment and motivation. Membership also means meeting people looking for solutions to problems with which you can immediately identify. Sharing, interacting and comparing notes. YMP activities create a unique synergy, which benefits individuals, companies and the industry as a whole.

Who can join


Canoeing YMP membership is open to anyone who works in printing or in a related industry, including suppliers. It is aimed at people with managerial or supervisory responsibilities, and at people aspiring to those roles. If your company is a member of the BPIF you are eligible for full membership status. However, if your company is not yet a full or associate member of the BPIF you can join the YMP Organisation as an associate member. If you are studying full time at a recognised printing college you can join as a student member. How we operate

Pick up sticks We organise structural training programmes, company visits, study tours, business meetings and formal gatherings, all geared to the personal requirements of members and the business objectives of their companies. The YMP, like the BPIF is divided into six regions covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland. For information on events in your region please use the menus on the left.
